Thank you for your interest in the UAMS Center for Health Literacy (CHL)
We are excited to share highlights from fiscal year 2024 (July 2023-June 2024).
This year brought significant transitions at the UAMS CHL. After leading the center since, 2020, Alison Caballero, MPH, CHES® retired. Katie Leath, MPH, MA, who has been with CHL since 2015, took over as director. During this transition, we also added new members to our team as former staff transitioned to pursue other professional opportunities.
Despite these changes, the UAMS CHL mission, vision, and values have remained the same, guiding our efforts to improve health communication, engage communities, and reduce health care costs. Our commitment to integrity, respect, diversity, and teamwork continues to shape the work we do with our partners and clients.
