We work to make health information easy to understand and use. Based at UAMS, we provide health literacy services both on campus and across the country to help clients more effectively communicate health information.

What does CHL do?
We provide health literacy services informed by research and best practice. We work to make health information easier to use and understand through four main goals:
- Provide health communication services to make health information easier to understand and use
- Train health professionals, students, and organizations on plain language and health literacy best practices
- Help researchers create clear, easy-to-understand materials that make their findings useful to the public
- Help organizations solve challenges with health literacy best practice
