CHL Staff Welcomes New Member

The Center for Health Literacy is excited to welcome our newest team member Tina Moore as Director of Health Literacy Training. Tina received a BS from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville followed by a MEd from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock both focusing on secondary mathematics education. She was a high school and college instructor of mathematics prior to transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry. After working in healthcare providing pharmaceutical information, training, and support to healthcare providers, Tina returned to education as a school improvement consultant. She provided training and professional development to secondary educators with the primary goals of improving instruction and increasing student engagement and achievement. Upon completing an EdS in curriculum and instruction through Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, she began pursuing a doctoral degree in curriculum and instruction from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She plans to concentrate her dissertation on the impact of health numeracy on patient outcomes.
